"University Hall spirit is defined as the thought of unity, sense of belonging and will of dedication towards the good name and well being of University Hall.? Hall Spirit is much more that just cheering in games with Ricci Hall.

Hall Spirit is not only thundering war cries.

Hall Spirit is not participating only in important matches and yet without any practice." -----------Lam Che Leung
Chief Editor, Outpost 73-74

U-Hall in 1960s
The heyday of the University Hall was in mid 1960's, when we captured the Malayan Cup in 1966 and 1968, our Hall members gained leadership in the Students Union and Faculty Committees. In cultural activities, the Music Society was formed in 1963 and the Gothic Circle was formed in 1971 in place of the Literary and Debating society. It was the most robust time of the University Hall.
Since the resignation of Mr. John Llewellyn in 1972, the prosperous University Hall started to go downslope in both sports and cultural activities. After the "Ying Sun was banned in 1977, the morale of hall members dropped to the bottom. This situation improved when the student committee reached certain consensus with the Warden.
