74% of HKU graduates either joined large commercial companies with 200+ staff or government and government-funded institutions. The large commercial companies account for 43% of all the commercial companies hiring HKU graduates.
For two consecutive years in 2006 and 2007, among all the UGC-funded universities, HKU students secured the highest share of government summer internship (24%) and the Administrative Officer positions (34% in 2006 and 50% in 2007), the Administrative Officers form a cadre of multi-skilled professional administrators who play a key role in the Government.
