About
The program provides opportunities for overseas students to experience learning and working in Asia.  Overseas participants will be able to learn and work alongside HKU students and other participants from top-tier universities.  The program intends to provide a more in-depth experience for students to learn about working in Hong Kong and China, aiming to increase their understanding of Chinese culture and to extend their professional and personal networks in Hong Kong and China.

The overseas participants in LLIC are supported by the University of Hong Kong and by the Victor and William Fung Foundation.

Eligibility

Applicants who are matriculated undergraduate students from overseas universities are encouraged to apply to the LLIC program.  Selection is based on the applicant’s suitability to the program and final selections of all candidates are made by the LLIC Program Committee and the companies.

Program Costs
Estimated costs for overseas participants include:

Air-ticket (from home to Hong Kong)
Accommodation (during internship placement for 7 weeks)
Miscellaneous and personal fees

*Air-ticket from Hong Kong to Shanghai (only for Shanghai participants)

Application Process

1. Submit completed application to LLIC Program Office by deadline (as indicated on application)
2. Attend an in-person/phone interview with LLIC Program Director
