About
The program allows HKU students to expand their professional and personal networks within Hong Kong and China, and other than gaining valuable experience in different industries through diverse internship opportunities, students will also benefit from working alongside their peers as well as overseas participants from top-tier universities such as Columbia, Harvard and Princeton etc.

HKU participants in the LLIC program are supported by the University of Hong Kong’s Worldwide Exchange Program and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC).


Program
Program Dates: July 2 - August 19, 2012 (tentative)

The program includes:

- 7-week Internship Placement with a company in Hong Kong or Shanghai
- Accommodation during Internship Placement (supported by funding from the Worldwide Exchange Program)
- Social programs and Orientation Activities
Eligibility
Applicants who are current undergraduate students at HKU are encouraged to apply.

Note to Worldwide Undergraduate Exchange Applicants: if you are accepted to the Exchange program, you will not be allowed to participate in LLIC and must re-apply for the following year.
Program Costs
Estimated costs for HKU participants include:
*Air ticket from HKG to Shanghai (for Shanghai interns)
Miscellaneous and Personal Fees

HKD$4,000-6,500

Application Process
1.Submit completed application to LLIC Program Office by deadline (as indicated on application)
2. Attend a panel interview at HKU (Interviews will take place on campus during a specified time – please refer to News & Events for updates)
