| Safety Policy Statement |
| The IHP would like to ensure that all participants who attend all sport classes do so in a safe and controlled environment. We advise any participants who have a history of heart problems or who have suffered from chest pains within the last month to seek medical advice before joining a course. If your doctor is prescribing drugs to control blood pressure or a heart condition it will be necessary to consult the doctor before starting the courses.
We also advise participants who lose their balance due to dizziness or loss of consciousness to inform the instructor before the course commences. Participants who have bone or joint problems that may be adversely affected by a change in physical activity should seek their doctor’s permission before registering for a course. It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure they do not commence a programme of intense physical activity if they knowingly have cardio-vascular or heart problems. |
