| Overseas Expedition Tibetan Mountain Range, Indian Himalayas Range, Nepal Everest Base Camp, Yushan Taiwan…… all these wilderness areas are covered with footprints of HKUers. Each year international expeditions are organized by the IHP under its Uni-Adventure, which is one of the hallmark initiatives of the institute. This year, expeditions will be taken place in Japan, Qinghai and Taiwan. We shall provide a comprehensive package of training and ensure that they are adequately prepared before they embark on the expedition. Trip Report on the Expedition to Kilimanjaro, the summit of Africa Outdoor Instructor Course Appreciating amazing nature, facilitating experiential learning and developing transferable skills through outdoor settings are becoming popular. The Outdoor Instructor Course is designed for those who have experience in organizing and leading outdoor activities in their work settings. The course will teach the participant to be an outdoor leader which includes essential outdoor technical skills as well as Leave No Trace practices and theory of leadership. Leadership Education The mission of leadership education is "...promoting the professionalism of leadership and to thereby improve problem-solving tactics and to enhance positive thinking in dealing with the others..." The IHP is a pioneer to advocate leadership education for the students through outdoor adventure activities. We have been working with the Counselling & Person Enrichment Section (CEDARS-CoPE), the General Education Unit (GEU) and some external organizations to develop outdoor leadership programmes since 1995. Team Building Workshop Through adventure based activities, the IHP offers team building workshops to different academic units such as the HKU School of Business and Finance on their MBA programmes and the Institute for Global Leadership of the Tufts University. Participants shall understand the methods of building a good team and experience the synergy of good teamwork. Corporate Training Programme The programme aims at enhancing organizations’ morale through developing the leaders, adjusting the view into a more positive way towards change, building up close-knit relationship and teamwork with other colleagues within the group so as to improve performance and productivity. We would tailor-made the programme to meet the demand of our clients so that participants can easily transfer their experiences into their daily life.
