Background: The Stanley Ho Exercise & sports Science Laboratory (SHESSL) was established in 1990 as a result of the need for a specialised laboratory to meet expanding teaching and research requirements in the Sports Sciences at the University of Hong Kong. A very generous donation from Dr Stanley Ho helped to construct the existing laboratory facility which bears his name. Subsequent funding form the UGC and the University of Hong Kong have equipped this Laboratory with an extensive array of some of the most modern and sophisticated sports science equipment available in Asia. Equipment includes specialist items for:
