Highlight of the year - 'Eco-study' tour to Seoul and Incheon
Our highlight of the year, overseas study tour to South Korea, needs your participation and support!!
We are from the Sustainable Development Team Session 2010 – 11 of HKU Engineering Alumni Association (HKUEAA). Sustainable Development is a current hot topic in every discipline in particular engineering. In the past few years, HKUEAA has been promoting sustainable development (SD) in the society by having experiential projects for HKU engineering alumni and students to appreciate the examples of SD outside Hong Kong and to help develop SD ideas in the context of Hong Kong.
This year our theme is Eco-city, a way-out to a sustainable tomorrow (環保之城,邁向可持續明天的出路). An overseas study tour to South Korea, will be held during 26/5 – 28/5 (Thur – Sat) this year. We would like to invite applications for our study tour. Details are as follows:

At the same time, we will also visit the Korea University and have cultural exchange with the host.
If you hold an HKSAR passport, visa-free access (免簽證入境) into South Korea is 90 days
An interview session will be conducted on 2/4 (Sat) afternoon. This will be the only available session and no alternative arrangements will be made. Also $20 will be levied as administration fee. As a traditional highlight, HKU Engineering Alumni Association (HKUEAA) hosts an Annual Ball in the New Year Eve for alumni to celebrate the precious occasion with family members and friends. This year, our 35th HKUEAA Annual Ball is going to be held on 31 Dec 2010 (Fri) at Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong for alumni to share the joy and happiness. The theme of the ball is called "Zodiac Night" as we believe the word "Zodiac" brings to mind a dazzling star in the dark sky, or a shooting star which allows one to make a wish, especially to capture the memorable moments in the centenary celebration of the University of Hong Kong.

Venue: Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong
