Outbreak of Influenza A(H1N1) (also known as Human Swine Influenza) was first recorded in Mexico in late March 2009. Until late April 2009, it was confirmed to be caused by a new influenza virus, which eventually spread to the whole world. The World Health Organization announced on June 11, 2009 that the outbreak has developed into a pandemic. In view of the challenge of this new influenza, we need to deepen our understanding on the disease in a scientific manner so that appropriate personal and community preventive measures can be adopted.
