Information about admissions
What sort of background will help a student in studying Cognitive Science?
The function of human mind is one of the most interesting fields of study. To learn about it, we need to be able to think scientifically and critically. Cognitive Science is, therefore, challenging. On the other hand, if you are open-minded and enjoy bringing together your knowledge in different subject areas, Cognitive Science becomes exciting and very rewarding. The syllabus is designed for students with Arts, Science, or Business background. Good grades at the A/AS levels and HKCEE in any subjects will help you get a place in the university.Applicants via JUPAS
The selection through JUPAS is based primarily on ALE grades (Best two AL subjects + next best AL or AS subject). We also consider your HKCEE Mathematics and AS Use of English grades. Those who choose the programme Cognitive Science in Band A get extra marks.Applicants via Non-JUPAS
We very much welcome applicants from non-JUPAS applications, in particular, those from international schools, in Hong Kong or abroad, and those with International Baccalaureate (IB) qualifications. We may interview these applicants.Misc.
