Information about BCogSci

In 1995, the Faculty of Social Sciences of The University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Departments of Architecture, Computer Science, Linguistic, Philosophy, Physiology, Psychology and Statistics started the first undergraduate degree programme in Cognitive Science in Hong Kong. This exciting programme aims to help students develop the necessary scientific and thinking skills to understand the mysteries of the human mind. Cognitive science helps us understand how we think and use language, how people communicate and how emotions and reasoning interact. It is ideal for students who are interested in understanding the basis of our thoughts and feelings. Graduates have gone on to pursue careers in psychology, education, IT, business, marketing, management, among others.
